The Wisconsin Hero of the Month Award, presented by Reward Our Heroes™, recognizes one individual each month who goes above and beyond in serving their community.

Any Wisconsin veteran, law enforcement officer, firefighter, EMS professional, healthcare worker, teacher, or Gold Star/Fallen Hero family member can be nominated.

You can submit a nomination online at RewardOurHeroes.com. The nomination form asks for details about the hero’s service and impact.

No. Nominations for the Wisconsin Hero of the Month Award are free and open to everyone.

Yes. Nominees must live in Wisconsin or serve a Wisconsin community to be eligible for the award.

Yes. If your nominee is not selected in one month, you may nominate them again in future months.

Nominations close on the last day of each month. Winners are announced during the first week of the following month.

A selection committee reviews all nominations and chooses one individual each month based on dedication, service, courage, and impact in Wisconsin communities.

Winners are recognized publicly on the Reward Our Heroes™ website, social media, and local Wisconsin media. They also become eligible for the annual Wisconsin Hero of the Year Award.

Yes. All Hero of the Month winners automatically qualify for consideration for the Wisconsin Hero of the Year Award.
